As Real Madrid prepares to face Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League semifinal’s first leg tonight in Germany, Bayern’s winger Bryan Zaragoza expressed confidence in his team’s victory chances.
Bayern reached the semifinals after defeating Arsenal, while Real Madrid advanced by beating Manchester City, the defending champions. Despite Real Madrid’s storied history in the competition, positioning them as favorites, Zaragoza remains optimistic about Bayern’s prospects.
“We are aware of Real Madrid’s caliber and their historical success in the Champions League, where they stand alongside us. Nonetheless, this match is an even split,” Zaragoza shared with MARCA.
He conveyed a strong belief in victory, fueled by the team’s spirit and determination, stating, “With the enthusiasm and desire we share, we are convinced we can win and we are fully committed to achieving that.”
Zaragoza also described the high spirits and motivation within the team as they prepare for tonight’s crucial clash. Being Spanish, he feels an added personal significance in these matchups.
“The locker room is buzzing with anticipation and motivation. For me, as a Spaniard, these matches are especially meaningful, reminiscent of the games we dreamt of playing as children. We are all focused and eager to secure a favorable outcome.”
Despite limited playtime since his transfer to Bayern Munich in January, Zaragoza hopes to make a significant impact against a team from his home country in the upcoming matches.
